Opportunities for Young People
Youth Ages 11 to 16
We are offering a farm work opportunity for any young persons age 11-16. This is a weeklong, on farm experience to help with the tasks at hand, enjoy the animals, woods and stream, and participate in daily family farm life. Room and board is obviously provided and a stipend equivalent to @ $5/hr will be given at the end of the week. Please contact us for more information if you have any interest.
Children 1st through 4th grade
We will also offer day camps here at our farm for children in grades K – 4th. They will be on the 3rd Saturday of each month from 10:00am – 4:00pm, starting in June. Parents can drop their children off and go exploring Southeast MN for the day, there are lots of bike trails and fun little towns, or you can spend the day at the farm. Price: $30.00 (includes lunch). Registration form will be available in March.
Note: due to low registration, there will not be a camp on Saturday, June 21st.
Next camp days: Saturday, July 19th and Saturday, August 16th
2008 camps: Each camp will provide experiences with horses, a swim at the creek followed by a picnic lunch, and a hands on session learning about nature.
Camps will be tailored to the group of participants. Each camp will be unique so children can attend more than one session if they are interested.
Registrations must be received one week before the date of the camp.
